From leisurely to challenging: Numerous hiking trails are waiting to be explored around Markbachjoch. And of course, culinary joys await as well. Markbachjochalm and Rübezahl-Hütte serve authentic Tyrolean delicacies on their sundecks. Cheese lovers should definitely pay a visit to Holzalm.

Morning time on the mountain: In summer, guests of Norderbergalm can enjoy a scrumptious mountain breakfast and start their hiking day full of energy.

Refreshment stops at Schatzbergbahn cable car in Auffach

Nature enthusiasts can choose from a total of three huts at the middle station and the top station of Schatzbergbahn. Along the "Around the Schatzberg" hiking path which offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the mountain world, they can visit Gipfö Hit and  Gasthof Schatzbergalm. Gipfö Hit is especially known for its delicious hut breakfast.

At Berghaus Koglmoos at the middle station of the Schatzbergbahn cable car, the menu includes traditional dishes as well as international cuisine.

In the immediate vicinity of the mountain station of Wiedersbergerhorn cable car in Alpbach, three huts invite you to stop for a bite to eat:

  • On the spacious sundeck of Dauerstoa Alm you can treat yourself to culinary delights after a hike around Wiedersberger Horn or after a visit to Alpbachtaler Lauserland.
  • At Berggasthof Hornboden, guests enjoy culinary hut classics while the little ones have fun at the restaurant’s playground.
  • A popular stop along the scenic trail to Wiedersberger Horn is Hornalm. Once there, you can reward yourself with savoury and sweet hut classics on the cosy sundeck.

When your hiking adventure starts at Reitherkogelbahn, culinary joys are guaranteed. Already at the valley station, you can give your energy level a nice little boost at Liftcafe Heisn before heading up the mountain for your next adventure.

During a cycling or hiking tour on Reither Kogel, we recommend stopping at the idyllically located Almstüberl Gschwendt. Families with children and larger groups feel equally at home there.
